[ On the first day of the flood, Stephen wakes up knowing that his skin is near.

It's been stolen for a long time. Ever since he slipped out of the ocean, curious and angry about the creatures that spilled their chemicals into the water and stole away the food. Ever since he came back to find his hide gone, and a smirking woman named Helen waiting for him.

He hasn't taken the form of a seal in a long time. He misses the sea in his bones. He misses it always. Nick, at least, has alleviated that for the last decade. And now he's here, in this mysterious boat, and he knows, knows that his skin is near.

He rises and goes out to search for it.

Unbeknownst to him, the sealskin is in a little heap on the deck. Anyone who takes it can command Stephen; he brings with him blessings, like luck and insight, and sometimes he can grant minor wishes. Feel free to run into him searching, to find the skin, to do with it what you will. ]
